The Zen Story..

Once the governor of a province in ancient China
Spent several days in the mountains with his Zen teacher.
As he was getting ready to leave, the master asked him,
"When you return to the capital, how will you govern your people?"
"With compassion and wisdom," said the governor.
"In that case," said the master,
"every last one of them will suffer."
